Family Maison: A Futuristic Vision of Interior Design

Bill Xiong's Award-Winning Design Transforms Sales Center into a Sci-Fi Masterpiece

The inspiration for Family Maison came from the folding, cutting, and deconstruction of geometric figures. Xiong aimed to create a space atmosphere that evokes a sense of science fiction, with a sculptural ceiling that subverts stereotypes and lines that are minimal yet powerful. The result is an environment filled with dynamic lines, devoid of harsh edges and corners.

What sets Family Maison apart from other designs is its unique location and the designer's cutting-edge modern design ideas. Xiong extracted the city's technological sense attributes and carried out a brand-new deconstruction and reorganization of the interior space. This approach broke the shackles of the exhibition space, creating a futuristic, artistic, and experimental exhibition space.

The realization of Family Maison involved large-scale art installations and the use of bronze and stone carvings. Covering an area of 987 square meters, the space is a testament to Xiong's innovative design approach. The negotiation area, in particular, showcases a unique artistic beauty and a harmonious space atmosphere, with points and lines gradually converging and relaxing to form a surface.

The project presented several design challenges, particularly the suspended ceiling above the sand table. This feature required modern craftsmanship and a re-deconstruction and reconstruction of the building. The final result is a design that exudes a sense of science fiction and shock.

Family Maison was completed and put into use in December 2020. It stands as a testament to Xiong's design prowess and his ability to create spaces that stimulate the viewer's perception and thinking. The project is a shining example of how design can advance art, science, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with its desirable characteristics.
